I have lately been a patient at the NSU ward, St Luke's Hospital.
On discharge after a major operation and a period of convalescence in hospital, I feel I should express my gratitude for the care and attention I received.
My first thanks are due to the consultant neuro-surgeon and to the operating team. The consultant exudes professionalism and is the epitome of human care.
The nursing and caring staff all showed extreme professionalism and tender care. Under the circumstances one appreciates every word and gesture and these never failed.
The ward and environment are always clean and the nurses and attendants respond to your call with prompt attention.
One word of thanks also goes to my personal consultant who followed my progress very assiduously.
I now realise that we should all be proud to have professionals of this high calibre.
