Maltanet doubles broadband speed

Maltacom's Internet arm, Maltanet, has doubled the broadband speed of its entry level products at no extra costs to its customers. This takes the download speed from 128 Kbps to 256 Kbps while the upload speed has also been upgraded by 400 per cent, from 64 Kbps to 256 Kbps. These speed upgrades apply for the Lm5.95 per 30-day package.

"The speed upgrade results in largely improved performance in the delivery of entry-level Internet bandwidth to our customers," Maltacom's Gordon Dimech, who heads the Consumer Segment commercial team, said. "This is in line with our strategy of continuing to make high speed broadband accessible at an affordable price to as many households as possible, in our drive to take broadband to every household in Malta.
