Obituary

BARTOLO. On March 16, at Boffa Hospital, ROSE, aged 87, passed away peacefully after a long illness borne with Christian fortitude. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved sister Marian and her cousin Claire, other relatives and friends.
Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 2.30 p.m. at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated.
May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Boffa Hospital and also the directors, nurses and carers of Charella Home, Sliema.

FENECH. On March15, at Zammit Clapp Hospital, FRANCES, of Sliema, aged 89, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her brother Fr Francis Xavier Fenech of Florida, USA, her sisters Mary Rose and Josephine Abdilla, relatives and friends, and the Salesian members of Mary Help of Christians. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Sliema Salesian Community and the Sliema Ursuline Sisters' Creche, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

Course For Guides

Approaching Malta, Its History And Culture In Italian, is the theme of a course to be held by the Società Dante Alighieri leading to the Italian language competence test to be held in June.

The 12-hour course, which is designed for tourist guides, will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. starting on April 10. Booking, limited to 15 participants, is open. For further details call 2123 8408 (evenings).

Stamps Competition Winner

Paul Borg of Gzira was presented with two return flights for two persons to any Air Malta destination as the winner of the Maltapost Christmas competition. Maltapost clients buying sheets of 10 stamps from any Maltapost outlet had to reply correctly to a question printed on the entry form.

Good Friday Seminar

The Zejtun local council will be holding a seminar about Good Friday at its premises tomorrow at 9.30 a.m. The seminar will discuss the historical, artistic and spiritual aspects of Good Friday.

Eating Meeting

Consumers have another chance to win gifts and buy Knorr products at special prices during the final weekend of the Knorr Meet 'n' GreeEAT roadshow.

On March 24 and 25, the kiosk in Bay Street, St Julians will be open between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Padova Hall Bazaar

A bazaar is being held at Padova Hall, Sliema (near the Sacro Cuor church) until tomorrow from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. Items on sale include household goods, books, toys and plants.

Car Wash

A car wash will be held today from 8 a.m. in Church Street, Sliema, near the Padova Hall to raise funds for Radio Sacro Cuor Sliema FM 94 that will broadcast on a 24-hour schedule for the fortnight preceding the titular feast of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Sliema. Donations will be accepted by the volunteers washing the cars.
