Scheduling of property
Notice of properties added to the list of scheduled property or conservation orders made with respect to such properties and any amendments made will be published in the Government Gazette within one week from approval by the Planning Authority Board.
A register with information on properties included in the list of scheduled property and properties on which a conservation order has been issued, will be made available in the Planning Shop for public inspection.
Known owners of scheduled property or properties covered with a conservation order will be notified through registered mail within one week from publication of the notice in the Government Gazette.
Site notices indicating the protective status of these properties will be affixed on site within one week from publication in the Gazette.
On notifying the owners of scheduled property or property covered with a conservation order, the Planning Authority will provide details of the government notice, Structure Plan/local plan policies relevant to the scheduling, and reasons for inclusion of the property in the list of scheduled property.
On issue of a conservation order, Mepa will also make documentation on the property available for inspection by the owner at reasonable times.
Requests for reconsideration of scheduling or of conservation orders, which have to be entered in writing, will be processed within three working days.
In order to facilitate the submission of comments or objections by owners and the general public, the Planning Authority will provide comments' forms to owners and will also make these forms available at the Planning Shop and on demand.
The Planning Authority will decide on requests for reconsideration after scheduling property within three months of receipt of submission for such reconsideration.
