Open day at Mellieha Holiday Centre

The public will be able to view the results of an extensive refurbishing programme at the Mellieha Holiday Centre during an open day, on Monday, The centre's events coordinator will be present to assist visitors.

A company spokesman said that, as a result of the refurbishment, Mellieha Holiday Centre is in a position to offer even better facilities for all occasions to both local and foreign tourists at the complex.

Set in the tranquil, idyllic surroundings of Ghadira Bay, Mellieha Holiday Centre - commonly known as the Danish Village - opened its doors in 1979 and has since been run and managed by Folkeferie.dk. The complex had started out as a non-profit making holiday village aimed at providing a relaxing and affordable holiday to Danish workers.

The complex was designed by world famous architect, Hans Munk Hansen.
