The Mgarr local council has appealed to the Public Transport Authority to install Pelican lights at Sir Temi Zammit Street, Zebbiegh (at the spot where a pedestrian crossing already exists) to make it safer for people to cross the busy road.

The council's appeal comes in the wake of the ADT's notice that the St Paul's Bay bypass will be closed for traffic.

The ADT has advised drivers to use the roads leading to Ghajn Tuffieha to get to St Paul's Bay driving through Zebbiegh l/o Mgarr.
