Obituary
ATTARD. On March 14, at St Clare's Monastery, St Julians, Sister MARY JANE ATTARD of Xewkija, Gozo, aged 61, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Poor Clare Sisters, her sister Liza, her brother John, nephews and nieces, relatives, benefactors and friends.
The funeral Mass will be held at St Clare's Monastery chapel today at 9 a.m.

Bypass Closed To Traffic
The St Paul's Bay bypass will be closed to traffic from Monday until further notice because of roadworks, the Public Transport Authority said yesterday. Traffic from the south and the central areas of the island is to proceed through Triq Tal-Hemsija, l/o Rabat, Tal-Qlejja roundabout junction, l/o Mosta, Triq l-Imgarr, Triq iz-Zebbiegh, Triq Ghajn Tuffieha, and Olympic Grove roundabout, Xemxija.
Alternatively, motorists can proceed through Targa Gap roundabout, Mosta, Burmarrad Road and St Paul's Bay centre. Access to St Paul's Bay through Burmarrad will be open to traffic as from tomorrow.

Fund-Raising Dinner
A fund-raising dinner to support the feast of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Sliema, will be held at the premises of the Sliema Philharmonic Society, 34, St Trophimus Street, today at 8.30 p.m. The dinner is organised by the Fireworks Commission.

St Patrick's Day
A special Mass will be celebrated at St Patrick's church, in Sliema, on St Patrick's Day tomorrow at 10.30 a.m. for the Irish community and friends. Everyone is invited for the Mass after which refreshments will be served.
Visa Applications
The British High Commission said it will be unable to accept visa applications today, due to an IT systems upgrade.
The systems upgrade would not affect the other consular and visa services provided at the High Commission.
Visa applications will be accepted as usual on Tuesday, the High Commission said.

Car Wash
Antonio Bosio Boys Secondary School, Gzira will be holding a fund-raising car wash, Aghti Tama - Aghti Sehemek, to help a student who recently received treatment abroad after being diagnosed with a serious illness. The event will be held at the school grounds tomorrow starting at 10 a.m.

The Spanish Embassy said the public can visit the ship Principe de Asturias at Pinto Wharf, Valletta, today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
