In preparation of Microsoft's official launch of the new framework .NET 3, MaltaDev.NET are organising a series of evening meetings and talks for their members about the innovation that Microsoft is presenting in the third version of this popular platform.
All local programmers, developers and IT students are welcomed and encouraged to join and attend these sessions which are free.
Inaugurating this launch, the first seminar - Windows Communication Foundation, A Foundation for Service Oriented Architecture - will be held today at 6 p.m. The venue is still to be announced.
The talk, by Microsoft senior consultant Tarek Bohsali, will be held in collaboration with Microsoft, GFI, Uniblue, Holistic Research and Development and Icon Studios, companies enabling such seminars to be offered free to all Maltese IT developers.
MaltaDev.NET is the first official user-group of computer programmers and developers who use the Microsoft.NET programming framework. Its mission is to help developers acquire and develop skills associated with Microsoft .NET technologies, .NET developers have the opportunity to pool the thoughts, ideas and concerns with which they face in their profession.
"Our aim is to create an interactive community in which the developers and even management sectors can identify and realise the potential of any . NET technologies and apply them for their business environment and use them successfully in their development," said Steve Giordano Imbroll, MaltaDev.NET's president.
An ever-expanding community of IT professionals has attended the first two seminars held in 2007, namely the ASP.NET AJAX, delivered by Evan Camilleri of Holistic Technologies Group, and CLR integration with SQL, delivered by Dawsar Zghoul of SoftAct and member of the .NET Usergroup in Jordan.
