Michael Mifsud's brisk performance in Coventry's derby win over Wolves on Tuesday has im-pressed manager Iain Dowie to the point of declaring that the Malta striker will retain his place for Saturday's match against Barnsley.
Mifsud, drafted into the first team as a replacement for the injured Leon McKenzie, made life uneasy for Wolves as goals either side of half-time from Dele Adebola and Elliott Ward ensured a 2-1 win for the Sky Blues.
"I thought Dele and Michael were unplayable at times," Dowie told reporters. "Dele has been superb ever since I arrived and Michael was outstanding and there is no doubt on that performance he'll start on Saturday.
"Against Wolves we had a huge performance and I'm absolutely delighted with how we played."
Late on, man-of-the-match Mifsud almost scored but lost his balance after once again springing the Wolves' offside trap.
Victory on Tuesday extended Coventry's unbeaten run under Dowie to five matches.
