A 26-year-old man was yesterday taken to court for breaching bail conditions, two months after he was arraigned for threatening to kill his wife and her parents with a knife.
In January, Charles Brincat, of Tarxien, had been arraigned and charged with threatening to kill his wife Ritienne and her parents Carmen and Angelo Camilleri and with the illegal possession of the knife.
He was granted bail on condition he did not approach his wife's Tarxien residence and was bound by a Lm200 deposit and a personal guarantee of Lm1,000.
Mr Brincat was yesterday charged with breaching his bail conditions when he allegedly turned up outside his wife's home in Tarxien and damaged her front door on Sunday.
His lawyer insisted he went to speak to her about their three children.
Mr Brincat was remanded in custody.
Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna presided over the arraignment.
Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.
Lawyer Ludvic Caruana was defence counsel.
