A number of chapels having historic relics will be explored during the next cultural tour scheduled for March 25.

The tour will take participants to the chapel of Our Lady of Damascene, in Vittoriosa, adjacent to the St Joseph Oratory, which houses a museum belonging to the parish dedicated to St Lawrence. There, the participants will be able to see the Crucifix chapel, built in 1720 on the site of an old cemetery.

The tour will then explore the church dedicated to St Anne, this being the residence of the Benedictine nuns, and the museum of the Zabbar sanctuary, that was built to keep and preserve items given to the Sanctuary as a gesture of devotion to Our Lady of Grace.

The participants will also view the chapel of Santa Marija ta' Bir Miftuh, in Gudja, which pertains to a group of five chapels abutting each other.

At the chapel of San Rokku, in Zebbug, actors from Playhouse will stage a re-enactment.

Tickets cost Lm4.50 for adults and Lm3.50 for senior citizens and children. Bookings, together with payments, can be made at the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, 230, Republic Street, Valletta, by March 21.
