Bondi should have sued producer - Mintoff

Labour Party's education secretary Wenzu Mintoff has filed a reply to a libel suit initiated against him by Lou Bondi.

Mr Bondi had filed the suit claiming that comments made by Mr Mintoff during a television programme, Bondiplus, presented by Mr Bondi, were libellous.

In his reply, Mr Mintoff noted that he could not be deemed responsible according to law and the suit ought to have been filed against the producer of the programme or the company that broadcast it.

Lawyers Toni Abela and Joe Mifsud signed the reply.
