Standing up to hunters (1)

I would like to encourage citizens to organise a protest against hunting and trapping. I am sure that we far outnumber these people. They have just organised a violent protest at which they attacked some journalists at Valletta. Is it possible that these people keep on blackmailing our governments in order to get what they want?

I encourage various organisations like BirdLife and others to organise such a protest where we would state that if our government succumbs to the hunters treats we will not vote. We have to begin doing something and taking action about these things. It is a disgrace that both parties are being manipulated by a minority of citizens.

I am really disappointed with the Malta Labour Party's stand in this issue. They are taking advantage of this situation that has arisen between the government and hunters for the sake of votes.

I just hope that the European Union intervenes and hopefully we will be reprimanded and fined for not stopping spring hunting.

I hope that such a protest will be organised in the near future for the sake of these birds who more often than not stop here to rest after thousands of miles flying.

They get their reward by being massacred by a bunch of egoists. These people cannot keep on doing what they like even if it is against the law.
