The Annual Pharmacy Symposium will start tomorrow at 9.30 a.m. at Erin Serracino-Inglott Hall. The closing ceremony will be held at the Mater Dei Hospital on Sunday at 9.30 a.m.

The special speaker for the occasion is artist Graham Woodall, who will speak on Art and Pharmacy. During the closing ceremony two senior Maltese pharmacists will be recognised for the contribution to Pharmacy for many years.

These are Joseph Deguara, who is also the father of Health Minister Louis Deguara, and Ferdinand Felice, who is the father of three academics at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Professor Alex Felice, Dr Donald Felice and Mary-Ann Sant-Fournier.

Entrance to Mater Dei Hospital is from the main entrance at the side of the San Gwann Industrial Estate.

During the symposium, held from Monday to Friday, fifth year Pharmacy students will present their projects while fourth year and M.Sc. students will discuss the progress in their projects.

Second- and third-year students are presenting posters. The subjects to be presented range from clinical aspects to industrial pharmacy topics. All those interested are invited to participate in the symposium.
