Recently the Bay Street Complex hosted a very successful Mission Fund activity in aid of its Guatemala project.
During these activities the Mission Fund collected over Lm700 for the building of a school in the parish of San Manuel Chaparron, in Guatemala, where Fr Anton Grech, a Gozitan priest, has been working for the past ten years.
This fund-raising featured performances by Aldo Busuttil, The She 2s, Corinne Turner, the White Crimson Band, Rita Pace, Klismann Coleiro, J Anvil, Nadine Axisa, Bernice Camilleri, and Priscilla Psaila.
The Mission Fund was set up in 1984 to offer regular financial aid to Maltese and Gozitan missions in 40 countries. Every year the Mission Fund trains and sends groups of 20 volunteers and a container of aid to work on specific projects requested by the missions.
