• The Diocesan Youth Commission, in collaboration with the Mnarja Band Club, is staging the musical Opera Goes Rock, a journey through the most famous opera libretti, directed by George Mizzi, at the MBC Theatre on Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m.

• Catechism for youths, led by Bishop Mario Grech, will be held at the Heart of Jesus Seminary, Victoria, on Saturday at 8.30 p.m.

• A get-together with tombla is being held at St George parish centre, Victoria, on March 19 at 7 p.m. Entrance is free.

• Lenten sermons for Gozitan youth in Malta, led by Fr Joseph Bajada, are being held at the Franciscan Sisters church, Triq tal-Hriereb, Msida, between March 20 and 22, at 7.15 p.m.

• The St Mary Band Club of Zebbug is holding a sacred art exhibition, Il-Passjoni, at the club between April 1 and 6. Exhibits, which will also enter a competition, will include a Last Supper table, works on canvas, statuettes, and religious images. Residents are invited to enter sacred and old artefacts. The committee would appreciate looms to contribute to the Jewish atmosphere.
