A 31-year-old woman was yesterday charged with trafficking in heroin while on probation.

Magistrate Lawrence Quintano heard Doreen Bugeja, of Swieqi, plead not guilty to trafficking in the drug on and before April 2005.

Police Inspector Dennis Theuma prosecuted.

Lawyers Franco Debono and Charmaine Cherrett appeared for the woman.
