This afternoon, the Malta Amateur Athletic Association will hold the fourth and last edition of this season's Miniathlon series.
The activity includes a two-hour programme - an introduction of athletic events in a non-competitive environment designed specifically for children aged between seven and 11 years.
The youngsters are taught how to enjoy sport first and foremost and to instill in them the love for athletics in the most enjoyable and safe manner.
The Miniathlon is held under the direct supervision of IAAF-qualified and experienced coaches.
They will be assisting the participants and act as officials themselves, therefore focusing on the individual development of the child.
All children are winners if their parents give them the chance to develop the talents that each has within him/herself, the association said in a statement.
"The talent is there, we only need to discover it," it added.
Parents are urged to take their children to the Matthew Micallef St John Athletic Stadium today at 1.30 p.m. Events will be concluded at around 4 p.m.
