Stompers were surefire favourites to win this match and they did not disappoint.

M. Fountain set them on the way after scoring two successive tries early on. C. Morton followed this with the Stompers' third try, which was subsequently converted by P. Satariano.

Aggressive play, a staple characteristic of Stompers' game, saw J. Corntwaite chalking up another try before the half-time whistle.

The second half saw more of the same, with Satariano scoring three tries, converting all of them, to put his team in a commanding position.

Alligators were blocked at all turns and Stompers never let up the pressure.

J. Reljic completed Alligators' rout as he scored two further tries which were both converted by the excellent Satariano.

Denying Alligators even a single scoring opportunity, C. Morton had the final try of the game for Stompers.

This season has been a story of ups and downs for Overseas so far. However, as S. Duffy opened the scoring against Kavallieri, the signs looked quite encouraging for Overseas.

Yet, this initial energy seemed to dissipate quickly as Kavallieri's S. Doublesin equalised and R. Attard converted, snatching the lead for his team. But Overseas were not to be outdone and fought back hard resulting in a try by M. Zablot.

Kavallieri responded with a try from D. Grima, converted by R. Attard. As the scores swung back and forth, the pressure built up and Overseas gave away a penalty.

Attard, who was on excellent kicking form, did not let the opportunity pass and put another three points on his team's scoreboard before half-time. A determined Kavallieri returned to the pitch and took over the proceedings after the break.

A string of tries by P. Micallef, I. Borda and D. Grima gave Kavallieri a dominating lead. Attard converted all the tries to push his team into a match-winning position.

But Kavallieri were not done yet and Borda, J. Gatt and Doublesin all scored tries before the final whistle for a comfortable win.

Referee: Bryan Corlett

Standings: Kavallieri 16, Stompers 16; Overseas 15; Alligators 7; Hibernians Sharks 6.
