The newly established group of world experts to advise the president of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, on energy and climate change met for the first time in Brussels, on Wednesday.
The advisors, who will act in a personal capacity, have expertise on both energy policy and climate change.
The meeting was attended by President Barroso. Malta's Ambassador on climate change, Michael Zammit Cutajar (fifth from left) is one of the 11 experts.
