German logistics company sets up Malta office
German logistics company Trans.Al.Logistic GmbH has set up an office in Malta in association with Senate Freight Services Ltd.
The move is a consequence of the recent expansion of Trans.Al.Logistic's international activities, which included the recruitment of Klaus Haas, known as an important player in Germany-Malta traffic over the years.
Steve Farrugia, director of Senate Freight Services, said the partnership was aimed at enabling both companies to reach their customers better, faster, and in person.
"We believe that the Malta market values immediate response - quotes in the least possible time - as well as the technical expertise we provide at both ends."
The service offered is not merely transportation but rather logistics encompassing the whole process from booking to delivery. Forwarding services included groupage from the whole of Northern, Central and Eastern Europe to Malta via hubs in Hamburg and Munich/Verona, as well as full container services from and to anywhere in the world but with special emphasis placed on European and Far Eastern traffic.
Senate Freight Services also offers independent services from various countries including the UK in collaboration with Redfern International, and Italy, where the company is partnered with Mansped Spedizioni. Other groupage services include the Far East, India, Turkey, Greece, France and Spain.
Senate Freight Services, in partnership with Mansped and Trans.Al, also plan to develop a Malta hub for shipments to Libya.
