Romania's Olympic 200m free-style champion Camelia Potec says she is targetting longer distances at the World Championships this month as part of her preparations for the Beijing Games.

Potec said she wanted another medal in Beijing in 2008 but that it would not be in her favoured 200m.

"My main targets are the 400-metres and 800m races because the 200m final has become quite impossible to qualify for," Potec told Reuters.

Romania is sending 10 swimmers to the March 17-April 2 worlds in Melbourne.
