Obituary
GALEA-CURMI. On March 6, PAUL , aged 76 ,went to meet the Risen Lord and join his wife Josette and many other people he loved. His children Maria, Theresa, Joseph, Edgar and Christina, Anna and Joe, Agnes and Christopher, his grandchildren Simon, Beppe, Pippa, Ganni and Katarina, in-laws, cousins, other relatives and friends were blessed by his life and will treasure him for ever.
Funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow.
LASPINA. On March 5, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, MAY, aged 94, went to meet the Risen Lord and join her husband Angelo and her two children John and Marthese. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter-in-law Marlene, her son-in-law Victor, her grandchildren Sarah and her fiancé Brian, Tonio and his wife Yolanda, Nicky and his wife Anne Marie, Michelle and her husband Aidan, her great-grandchildren Nicola, Gianluca and Andrea, relatives, especially Marie Louise Bugeja, and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, today at 1.45 p.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by private interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to The Malta Hospice Movement will be appreciated.
PARNIS DOWLING. On March 5, at her residence in Birzebbuga, CARMELA of Gharghur, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Bartolomeo, her children Josephine and her husband Frederik Gatt, John and his wife Marija, and William, grandchildren, in-laws and friends.
The funeral leaves her residence today at 8 a.m. for Birzebbuga parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Safi cemetery.
SIMPSON. Beloved father John David of Marsascala passed away at Villa Messina, Rabat on March 3. His children Julia Yemin, Peter Simpson and Anna Simpson will be holding a graveside funeral on Friday at 2.30 p.m. at Siggiewi Cemetery. The funeral party will depart from Villa Messina at 2 p.m.
Requiem Masses
WIGG - EDWARD EWHURST, Sgt., Air Cartographer (ret.), Royal Air Force Northolt, formerly of Sanremo Rests. Treasured memories rekindled tomorrow being the first month of his embracing eternal life. A Mass of thanksgiving for his life will be celebrated tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Sta Venera old parish church. Relatives and friends are most cordially invited to attend.

Flight Tickets Competition Extended
The Sprite Getaway Competition launched in February by the General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd is being extended with an additional 200 flight tickets to be won by Sprite consumers.
Sprite consumers are being provided with another chance to unveil the lucky numbers underneath the cap liner of the soft drink.
The previous system will be retained and the cap holders are likewise invited to call on the telephone number printed underneath the cap liner. Participants will then be asked to key in their identity card number and to answer a particular question.

St Vincent De Paul Visiting Hours
The official visiting time at St Vincent De Paul Residence for the Elderly is, until further notice, from 10 a.m. to noon, 3 to 5.30 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. No one will be allowed to visit outside these hours.
Lyceum Past Students' Tour
The Council of Administration of the Association of Lyceum Past Students (ALPS) is planning a reunion of Lyceum past students in Canada on August 31.
The reunion will be the focal point of a tour of Canada that the association is organising between August 28 and September 18 with the help of its Canada Branch president, former Maltese Consul Milo Vassallo.
The tour will include conducted tours of Toronto, Lake Ontario, Niagara, Calgary, the Pacific Coast, Vancouver, British Columbia, a five-day tour of the Rockies and a seven-day cruise in Alaska on the M.V. Norwegian Sun.
