Restoration works on a 19th century room in the Parliamentary building were at their final stages, Infrastructure Minister Ninu Zammit told Stefan Buontempo yesterday. Mr Zammit said that during the restoration of the room, formerly a personal chapel of the Grand Master, problems were encountered in the restoration of a Filippo Paladini fresco which was badly damaged during the WWII. The painting and the chapel's wooden roof have now been restored.

Several other works, including the electricity system, are pending and the completion date depends on the issue of permits for these works.
