On reading Jason Micallef's defence of Alfred Sant in relation to the alleged personal attacks on Gordon Cordina, one wonders whether Mr Micallef is the secretary of Dr Sant or of the Malta Labour Party.

Mr Micallef epitomises a country problem. Too many people choose to swim in waters that are deeper than their abilities or training. The more serious problem is that these people consider those who can swim in such waters as a threat.

The end-result is that both will sink.
