Junior Chamber Inter-national (JCI) Malta is organising its first major training event this year on Saturday and Sunday, March 24-25. JCI Malta is organising this event in collaboration with MISCO (www.miscomalta.com), a leading recruitment agency in Malta.
"Competency-based recruitment" is an ideal opportunity for employers and the general public, particularly students wishing to better understand competency-based interviewing in the context of the local job market.
This interactive training event will offer delegates the possibility of developing their interviewing skills while providing employers with potential candidates for their recruitment needs, improving their interviewing skills in the process.
The first event, being held on Saturday, comprises a morning and afternoon session. The morning session will give employers a background on how to assess candidates during the interviewing stage as well as in designing a competency-centered recruitment process.
Following this, the afternoon session is designed for people, particularly students, who feel the need to improve their performance during an interview. During the second session delegates will be given the chance to put their interviewing skills into practice through role plays.
JCI Malta is affiliated to Junior Chamber International, a worldwide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs. JCI aims at developing professional and personal skills for its members. In accordance with JCI's international strategy, JCI organises regular training events and other projects in four key areas: business, individual, community and international development.
JCI Malta has organised numerous training sessions over the past years, which were delivered by local and foreign trainers.
The event will take place at the Coastline Hotel, Salina. The fee is Lm20 for one member and Lm10 for additional participants. As the event is on a first-come-first-served basis, therefore, early booking is recommended.
Bookings can be made by contacting Maria Zahra, VP Training, by e-mail: maria.zahra@jci.org.mt or by calling 7926-6312. For more information about JCI Malta, visit www.jci.org.mt.
