Antoinette Micallef, courses co-ordinator at the European Institute of Education (EIE), has been awarded a silver plaque as a sign of recognition for loyalty and consistency at work on the fifth anniversary of her employment at EIE.
Ms Micallef started working at EIE as an administration clerk in 2002. She was first promoted to assistant courses co-ordinator and later courses co-ordinator as a result of her good performance.
She is a focal person at EIE, co-ordinating all student registrations and requirements, and serving as the link between the students and the foreign universities that EIE represents.
EIE, established in 2000, is the largest private tertiary institution in Malta and is currently expanding its educational services overseas.
During the presentation, Antonello Cappitta, EIE director of courses, commented: "Antoinette has always been a loyal, hard-working member of our staff. She offers a good service to all our students and we are very happy that she forms part of our management team."
The European Institute of Education is licensed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Employment as a tertiary level institution of European University and University of Leicester.
