The Occupational Health and Safety Authority is in the process of amending two legal regulations (Legal Notices 120 and 227 of 2003) issued four years ago on the protection of the health and safety of workers from the risks related to chemical agents at work.

Towards this end, OHSA is holding a consultation process.

It said that the amendments deal specifically with the issue of a second list of occupational exposure limit values (OELVs).

Any person or entity who wishes to comment can do so by contacting OHSA at 17, Edgar Ferro Street, Pietà or by e-mail at ohsa@gov.mt

The deadline for submissions of comments is March 30.

A copy of the legislation together with the proposed amendments can be downloaded from the OHSA's website at www.ohsa.org.mt.
