This year's Sliema Philharmonic Celebrity Concert For Europe will be held at the Sir Temi Zammit Hall at Malta University on March 24 at 7 p.m.

This concert is the Sliema Philharmonic's flagship event and will present a varied programme of music, performed by the Sliema Symphony Band, conducted by Mro Ronnie Debattista with international guest artistes.

Representing the higher echelons of music will be. Croatian tenor Voljen Grbac, who will headline the concert. Mr Grbac has performed in opera productions all over Europe, playing leading tenor roles.

He will be joined in a number of duets by Vivien Galeta, who has the distinction of once representing her country in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Another soloist at the event will be trumpeter Sigmund Mifsud, who will perform his arrangement of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
