Actavis sponsor equipment for pool in Ta' Qali

The MFA Swimming Pool Management have just signed a sponsorship deal with Actavis Limited.

Through this agreement, Actavis have sponsored the installation of equipment at the Ta' Qali pool that include a set of protective nets and goalposts, a pace clock, a set of stainless steel cable lane ropes, waterpolo balls, kickboards and other floats.

"The installation of this equipment makes the MFA swimming pool the only indoor venue where waterpolo games can be played," a statement from the MFA Swimming Pool Management said.

Throughout the months of December and January, waterpolo training was held regularly at Ta' Qali by the ASA junior national team, Sirens, San Giljan and Sliema juniors. Other regular activities include classes for children in conjunction with the Kavallette Waterpolo School, training for local clubs and the ASA national team, the Birkirkara SJ triathlon team, masters swimming and the MFA Swimming School.

"Actavis Limited is proud to take a leading role in such worthwhile ventures," the statement concluded.

Actavis Ltd is a subsidiary of Actavis Group, a multinational pharmaceutical organisation. The Maltese operation boasts a workforce of no fewer than 380 employees.
