A 17-year-old man was charged with defrauding several petrol stations when he made use of counterfeit money.

The teenager, of Zebbug, pleaded not guilty to circulating counterfeit money, defrauding various petrol stations and stealing the fuel on and before June 2006.

Police Inspector Ian Abdilla prosecuted.
