The Faculty of Education and the School of Education at the University of Leicester are organising the first European conference on Social, Emotional and Behaviour competence and Difficulties (SEBD) in children and young persons between September 13 and 15 in Malta.
The pre-conference workshops aimed at practitioners working with children and young persons with SEBD include whole school approaches to behaviour management for school management teams, educational interventions for students with ADHD, circle time in the classroom, emotional literacy, anger replacement training, and nurturing approaches to SEBD.
The conference presents a forum for researchers and practitioners to discuss evidence-based approaches in dealing with social, emotional and behaviour difficulties within a European perspective.
It aims to provide a value-added dimension to such interventions by seeking to explore the common factors characterising interventions that work with children and young persons with social, emotional and behaviour difficulties in both educational and non-educational contexts.
Electronic submission of oral and poster presentation abstracts is now open.
Online submission, registration and other details on the conference are available on the faculty Webpage www.educ.um.edu.mt/sebcd.
