A delegation from the International Red Cross met officials of the Malta Red Cross Society with the aim of helping the local branch in its humanitarian activities among refugees and other immigrant affairs.

The delegation visited the government open and close reception centres in order to assess possible areas of assistance. It also paid a visit to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry for Justice and Home Affairs where the issue of illegal immigration was discussed with senior officials from the ministry and from the Ministry for the Family and Social Solidarity.
