Ignatius D'Anastasi, 19, of Pietà was fined Lm1,000 after Magistrate Anthony Vella found him guilty of driving a vehicle without a driving licence last November.

Mr D'Anastasi was accused of having driven a car without a driving licence and an insurance policy and without the consent of the owner.

The prosecution requested that Mr D'Anastasi be disqualified from obtaining a driving licence for at least a year.
