Alternattiva Demokratika chairman Harry Vassallo has agreed with Gozitan operators that existing tourism structures did not focus sufficiently on Gozo.

Speaking during a meeting with the Gozo Tourism Association (GTA) at its offices in Victoria, Dr Vassallo said AD is very much in tune with the concerns expressed by the GTA regarding services such as public transport in Gozo, the need for a shuttle bus service between Cirkewwa quay and Luqa airport and a viable air link between Gozo and Luqa airport.

Dr Vassallo said the high proportion of vacant properties in Gozo should be seen as an opportunity to avoid unnecessary development in the tourism sector.
