It was reported (February 15) that Justice Minister Tonio Borg has suggested the erection of a monument for the 43 Maltese who were exiled to Uganda during the war. These Maltese, of course, were never exiled. For security reasons their imprisonment was transferred from Malta to Uganda, i.e. from one colony to another colony within the same empire.

Does the minister intend erecting a monument to Carmelo Borg Pisani, a Nationalist Maltese traitor hanged for high treason?

To crown it all, will he also consider the erection of another monument to Fascism?

The mind boggles.
