Once upon a time
The Abandoned Kitten
One winter day an abandoned kitten found herself in the rain outside.
A warm hand picked her up. She found herself in a pocket of a jacket. The kitten dreamt that a man was killing her.
The kitten woke up when she heard a girl crying out in joy: "Dad, at last, you brought me a kitten. It's so cute and cuddly!"
They put the kitten in a blanket and got her a bowl of warm milk. The kitten was very hungry and drank it all. Then the girl picked her up and the kitten slept on her lap, purring happily. They called the kitten Snowy, because she was as white as snow.
That night Snowy slept on the girl's bed, thinking how lucky she was.
