The Malta Tourism Authority has appointed architects to work on four projects that are bidding for EU structural funds for product improvement.
The development applications have already been submitted for two of them, Tourism Minister Francis Zammit Dimech told the St Paul's Bay local council.
Two of the projects include embellishment and improved accessibility at Qawra point, and the embellishment of a promenade link from Il-Menqa to tal-Ghazzenin, which are earmarked for completion by the end of the year.
The other projects involve recreational facilities and landscaping at Triq it-Truncieri up to Qawra Tower, and the creation of a beach at the east side of Qawra point.
The MTA has advised the St Paul's Bay council of its plans to appoint a beach manager for the perched beach in Bugibba, and proposed ways to strengthen communication through its Tourism Zone Management officers.
