IT students receive training at Maltacom

MCAST students reading for a Higher National Diploma in IT are on a two-week working visit to Maltacom to acquire hands-on experience.

The students are receiving structured and on-the-job training in various areas of Maltacom's packet-based infrastructure.

Besides this familiarisation visit, the company takes on MCAST students as part of the national summer worker scheme. It is also sponsoring 11 students through a three-year course of studies under the Technical Apprenticeship Scheme.

Meanwhile the Maltacom Group has availed itself of MCAST training services in various skills including call centre functions for Dial-It employees, customer care courses for Maltanet employees, business English and Maltese as well as finance for non-finance people.
