Heritage Malta is hosting an exhibition on colonial architecture in Malta entitled Colonial Malta: Building A Romantic Landscape.
The exhibition, at the National Museum of Fine Arts, in Valletta, runs until March 20.
A collection of images, prints and lithographs of British colonial architecture, together with artefacts pertaining to the same era, on loan from various private and national collections, are on display.
Malcolm Borg will discuss Romantic Architecture Within The Maltese Islands during two lectures at the Upper and Lower Barrakka Gardens on February 24 and March 3. Another two lectures will be held at the National Museum of Fine Arts on Thursday and March 8.
In the first lecture, Dr Borg will highlight landmarks that still survive from the Romantic epoch and in the second lecture, Nicholas De Piro will talk about the attitudes, influences and aspirations of the Maltese people during the Romantic Period.
All lectures will be held in English.
