It's back after missing out in 2006: Pierre Vella, local F1 correspondent, has once more teamed up to stage this annual F1 event in Malta, which is scheduled for March 4 from 10 a.m. in the traditional location - the ballroom of the Westin Dragonara Resort in St. Julian's.
Commenting on the event, Mr Vella said many were those who followed Formula 1 in Malta, both young and not so young. The Internet has helped the sport a lot, together with the local coverage on the media, with direct race transmissions and locally staged F1 programmes.
The event begins with a review of last year's championship, followed by an interesting presentation of the upcoming season, spiced with some unique footage and photos.
This year the Westin Dragonara Resort is organising a special lunch at two of their restaurants to mark the occasion, encouraging all those that will be attending the F1 Forum to make it a date after having enjoyed the morning's proceedings.
A special treat for children will also be staged. It will coincide with the relaunch of the EVS racing team, which forms part of the Vella Group, the team that for the past two years have redesigned their geometry on their drag racing truck, which will be in attendance, together with how the group is serving their clients worldwide.
HSBC will be offering their financial services for the day, Chempro Ltd will be illustrating their new range of lubricants with a preview of what is in store later on this year. Finally, Britannia Services celebrating their 25th anniversary, will be launching their exciting F1 programme for the upcoming season.
It is planned that an F1 photographic exhibition, consisting of photos taken by Pierre Vella, will also be launched a few days before the Forum. Entrance is free, plus free parking. The event is being organised in conjunction with PhotoCity.
