I wish to congratulate the winning team of Vertigo for this brilliant song. This year we can say we have a song which not only sounds good, but which can do really well at the Eurovision song contest in Helsinki. Surely, Olivia Lewis and her team must be very honoured to receive such overwhelming support, and this goes to prove that the public had no doubt which was the best song.

I imagine that in the coming days there could be some slight changes to the song, and to the performance, but I appeal to all those concerned not to go overboard, and just leave this wonderful song and its presentation as we have voted for it. Whoever came up with the gong and violin idea must also be congratulated, as this made a very effective combination with Olivia's singing skills. She looked radiant and confident, and the dress flowed and looked beautiful. The music is excellent, and the lyrics are a change from the usual soppy love songs.

Adding strength to this song (which seems to have various influences weaved into it) is one of Malta's best song-writing duos. Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg have given us many good songs before. I am sure their expertise, and strong sense of vision, will guide the Vertigo team - "neighbours" permitting - to success in Helsinki. Jes and Joseph were very good in their own right and complemented a stunning Olivia nicely. A little touching up might be necessary, but one feels satisfied with this product.

Good luck to the Vertigo team!
