Football Frenzy player for Man. City trial
School youngsters in line for other trials in England
James Paris, on the Football Frenzy Soccer School advanced programme for the last couple of years, has been invited for a trial at Premier League club Manchester City next week.
Jon Mottershead, founder of Football Frenzy in 2000, has been monitoring Paris's progress and recommended him to one of his contacts in England before the trial was arranged.
Manchester City have an excellent youth set-up. They are renowned to groom promising players and introduce them into the first team, the likes of Shaun Wright-Phillips (now Chelsea), Joey Barton, Micah Richards and Stephen Ireland.
The trial will be an excellent opportunity for Paris, one which he should enjoy and learn from, a Football Frenzy statement said.
It is hard for young players to get spotted and invited for a trial with a club of Manchester City's status.
Football Frenzy (footballfrenzymalta.com) said they are working hard to secure similar opportunities for other Maltese players.
In fact, the school have plans for a few other youngsters to have trials with professional English clubs next summer.
