This cat was discovered splattered with red paint by the Street Cat Rescue team last Tuesday in the Lower Barakka area in Valletta.

The cat had to be rushed to a vet to remove the paint from its fur. Without such an intervention, the feline could not move about.

The Street Cat Rescue's Carmen describes it as very tame and litter-trained. An appeal is being sent out to its owner. If the cat is not reclaimed soon, it will be given up for adoption.

The Street Cat Rescue are also looking for volunteers to help out with the organisation, such as in finding homes for stray kittens and lending a hand with the helpline on cat care when it will be launched.

Those interested in either adopting this cat or applying to be volunteers may contact Carmen on 9940 8138 or send an e-mail to nemoandco@yahoo.com.
