Balkan Property Investments, a Dhalia-led consortium of Maltese investors, has appointed Colliers International as property managers for The Balkan Jewel - a residential development in the idyllic Razlog Valley, near the ski resort of Bansko in Bulgaria. Colliers International will be responsible for managing and maintaining The Balkan Jewel upon completion of construction and finishing.
Colliers International is a global affiliation of independently-owned real estate services firms. The organisation employs 9,327 employees worldwide and has 241 offices in 54 countries.
Colliers is no newcomer in Bulgaria. It has been active in this new EU member state since 1991 and has become the market leader in providing comprehensive real estate services. In Bulgaria, Colliers have two offices in Sofia and Varna which together employ over 70 professionals.
Dhalia's chairman and CEO, Franco Valletta said the consortium was pleased to associate The Balkan Jewel development with Colliers International. "This agreement with Colliers, one of the world's leading real estate services providers, certainly adds more credibility to the intentions of the consortium to develop a first-class destination. Colliers have agreed, after careful assessment of the project, to incorporate The Balkan Jewel in their portfolio of projects. Given Colliers' decision to manage a number of projects that in total would not exceed 1,000 apartments, we feel privileged to note that 160 of these 1000 units represent The Balkan Jewel. Colliers will assume responsibility for all aspects of property management, including maintenance of common areas, reception and security services, and general administration of the complex. The end-buyer will no doubt benefit from Colliers' wealth of experience and top quality service."
Spread over 7,500 square metres of land, The Balkan Jewel will comprise 160 apartments, and includes a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, mini market, gym, sauna, steam room and underground parking facilities. The mix of apartments includes studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, most of which enjoy stunning south-facing views of the Pirin Mountains and an 18-hole golf course designed by Ian Woosnam.
