A Peugeot 306 was extensively damaged in a fire yesterday evening, the police said.

The police were informed about 8 that an explosion was heard in Triq Wied Ghollieqa, Kappara.

Together with personnel from the Civil Protection Department the police went on site where they found the car ablaze. No one was injured in the incident.

Duty magistrate Audrey Demicoli held an inquiry. The police are investigating.
