I am writing this from my office - the sixth floor of The Plaza. Up to now I have had a fantastic view of the beautiful dome of Stella Maris church. Today I noticed something funny on that same Sliema skyline - a block of concrete flats towering over the dome and engulfing the church. Shame on whoever agreed to such a height level in the project. No wonder during panto this year (and almost every year) Mepa is taken for a ride!

These are self-inflicted disasters for Malta's future heritage.
