Citigroup places 55 million Reuters shares
Citigroup said it placed 55 million shares in news and information group Reuters at 428 pence per share, raising £235 million.
Reuters declined comment. A Citigroup spokesman said the placing represented about 4.3 per cent of Reuters shares in issue.
Reuters shares closed 2.5 per cent lower at 430.5 pence and were the third-biggest loser in the FTSE 100 index.
