The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Programme is once again offering Maltese holders of doctoral degrees or equivalent professional training or experience, the opportunity to apply for a US grant to enable them to carry out advanced research or lecturing in the United States for three months after January 2008.
Together with the completed application form, CV and three letters of references, applicants are required to submit a detailed project statement of the proposed activity for research or lecturing at a US institution, and a letter of invitation from a US host institution that is prepared to host the scholar in the event that the application is successful.
Applications are to reach the US Embassy by not later than March 9.
Candidates who wish their application to be considered for support by the University of Malta are to submit a copy of their completed application form, with a letter of endorsement from the dean or director of their respective faculty or institute, to the director of International Office by February 23.
Anyone who is interested may contact Joanna Zingariello at the US Embassy on tel: 2561-4147 or e-mail: zingarielloj@state.gov.
