Health NGOs' network

A meeting will be held on Thursday from 12.30 to 2.30 p.m. at the Malta Resource Centre, Ta' Xbiex, to set up a network of NGOs working in the health sector in Malta. All NGOs working in the health sector are invited to attend.

The main objective of this network will be the enhancement of civil society contributions to the development of national health plans and policies according to EU directives.

This initiative is part of the larger project Volservnet, which also includes the organisation and support of voluntary services as well as capacity building and training for NGOs and volunteers in the health sector.

The agenda includes a round table of names and brief presentation of Maltese NGOs; a brief presentation by MRC on the key objectives of the network and the proposed setting-up process; link to European Public Health Alliance; discussion on the structure of the network; setting up of steering committee to develop network; network Secretariat and finally a discussion on the official launch of network.
